Our leadership team has a combined 47 years of real estate investment experience, including acquisitions, rehabs, property management, and disposition.
Our leadership team currently owns and operates real estate in Texas, California, Idaho, Florida, and Nebraska.
Over the past 20 years Michael has been involved in buying single family and small multi-family properties. His investment strategies have included flips for quick profits, rehab and resale for retail profits, buy-hold investing and rental property management for long term cash flow.
Michael is currently active in several real estate investment groups and leads a mastermind real estate investment group as well. He is an active member of the Texas Apartment Association (TAA), Apartment Association of Tarrant County (AATC), and the Independent Rental Owners Committee (IROC).
Michael was employed for 23 years with Texas Instruments (TI). He started out as an electronics technician. After continuing his education he moved into the business side of the company serving in several capacities including capital planning, production planning, cost accounting, and financial planning, until retiring from the company in 2006 to pursue fulltime real estate investing.
He graduated Summa cum Laude from The University of Texas at Dallas with a B.S. in Economics and Finance and has an Electronics Technician diploma from DeVry University.
Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and son, traveling domestically and abroad. Michael also spends time in his community coaching youth baseball and basketball.
Cynthia Schember has been active in the real estate industry for 20 years. She began her real estate investment career by developing the RealArt and Creative Outlets partnership which developed live/work/performance space for visual and performing artists in San Diego County. With the management and construction experience gained, she purchased, renovated, managed and sold single family homes and condominiums in California, Minnesota, Mississippi and Idaho, as well as purchasing pre construction homes in Florida and S. Carolina.
Cynthia made the transition to multifamily investing by purchasing a duplex in 1996. She increased her portfolio and gained experience in commercial acquisition, financing, and asset and tenant management. She has worked as a Realtor with Magellan Capital Realty in Boise, ID, a firm that specializes in working with investors. She is an active member of the Idaho Rental Owners and Managers Association and the L Society, a multifamily investors’ business group.
Ms. Schember’s background is rich and varied. After studying french horn at the New England Conservatory in Boston, she spearheaded a project to support New England organic agriculture and food cooperatives. She earned a BS in Conservation and Resources Studies from UC Berkeley, and earned a Masters of Social Work from San Jose State University. After working as a child welfare social worker in Alameda County, CA, she coordinated a multi-state social science research project for the federally funded Prevention Research Center. She enjoys life at home with her husband, son, and occasional foreign exchange students, as well as local travel in the northwest and international travel.
John is an active real estate investor and is accomplished in leading personnel teams and process management. John’s creative and solution based thinking has been instrumental to driving process improvements in corporations in several states. He brings this solution based thinking to all of his interactions and is able to structure deals that provide mutually beneficial solutions for all parties involved.
John is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, a Certified Apartment Manager ® candidate, a member of the Houston Apartment Association, and the Independent Rental Owners Committee (IROC).
John resides in Houston, Texas and enjoys spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, scuba diving, and international travel.
